Also the basement, but that happens pretty often in Seattle. Our basement isn't finished, which normally is a drag but at least we don't have to worry about ruining our luxurious family room wall-to-wall carpeting or anything.
The roof thing is a problem though. It's raining in our kitchen cupboards. Raining delicious water infused with lead paint and roof tiles.
You know what? I'm just going to say it. Our house is an asshole and I don't want to be friends with it anymore.

Ugh. I empathize. My house was a charming first date whose quirks were endearing. But I'm very sorry I married it.
I'm so sorry, y'all. What a drag - I hope it doesn't end up being too much of a pain in the ass/bank account.
We're in a hotel downtown, cats, baby and all because the lower level of our house, which is our apartment, is flooded. We have to move post-haste, but fortunately our stuff is ok. We were able to begin managing the water intake and move things out of the way from the earliest stages. This rain is an asshole, too.
Hey, I think you should move to California. Not so much rain out here. Mind you, then you couldn't really be a soggy librarian any more. And Sunny LIbrarian doesn't have the same charm.....
Sorry my dude didn't have a miracle cure for you when he looked at it. Sometimes he does, but alas, your house doesn't seem interested in making you love it.
:(
Sara, that's horrible! I'm glad your family is safe and dry and stuff, but good lord. The rain really is an asshole.
